Description
Kee Guard® roof edge fall protection systems are continuous, free-standing, non-penetrating and use recycled PVC counterbalance weights. In addition, we install railing for corrugated and standing seam roofs. Our railing systems are designed to meet OSHA NYC requirements.
Kee Guard® Rooftop Railing, invented by Kee Safety, is installed on rooftops worldwide and meets OSHA Standard which mandates employers to protect employees from falling when work is performed less than 15 feet from the roof edge. The rigidity of the guardrail complies with strict safety requirements and its modular design is adaptable to any rooftop plan, including custom angles. The railings are galvanized inside and out to mitigate oxidation, prevent rusting, and last a lifetime.
Kee Guard is modular and RoofandRailing can install it easily around units near the roof edge and up and over rooftop piping and ductwork. It can be clamped onto existing ladders or railing for complete access protection. The railings are engineered to spread the load to reduce roof stress and require no special tools or training.
There are different Kee Guard bases for flat, standing seam, and corrugated roof types. Flat or low slope roofs are free-standing, while standing seam metal roofs use S5U clamps for safe non-penetrating attachment. Corrugated metal roofs use a universal base plate with mounting holes, which require fasteners into the roof and must be sealed according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. Kee Guard Infill Panels are pre-fabricated with restricted openings of less than 4″, preventing small children and animals from falling through the railing.
